Protecting the Blue Gem of Texas

Our mission is rooted in the deep conviction that the Canyon Lake Watershed; water quality, contact recreation in the lake and Guadalupe River, and the economy of Canyon Lake's communities remain strong and  belong to the future.

We never want to hand the future a clean up of water degradation. We learned from the 1986 precedent that it is less expensive to keep the water reservoir clean than to treat degraded lake water later.

We combine strategic policy advocacy with ground-level community action to ensure these waters remain a legacy with purity, resilience, and natural beauty... for every Texan.  We want the same protections the Highland Lakes were given 40 years ago .

Preserving the Canyon Lake Watershed

The health of Canyon Lake depends on the dedicated stewardship of those who call these shores home and of the voices of everyone in Bexar, Comal, Hays and Kendall counties that drink water derived from Canyon Lake.

Our community-led initiatives will also focus on active restoration and monitoring of the watershed, bringing together businesses and neighbors to protect our most precious resource. We are inclusive, and everyone will be invited to help us with our efforts. Clean water for everyone protected in many ways by everyone.
